if you have a weak system that you put together with a budget in 2004 i could see why you're so against vista, but any comp with a sata 3.0 hard drive, a dualie or quad cpu and 2gb+ ram should simply upgrade and see the difference

Intel rejected Vista because it adds nothing to the running of their office. They don't need Aero glass or Vista Media Center. As long as they can still run Office etc on XP it doesn't make commercial sense for them to upgrade. That isn't Vista-bashing, that's economics. Intel will upgrade when 1) They need to get something done and the software to do it only runs on Vista. and 2) erm.. thats about it.
