About 70% of IBM staff work at home now. It's amazing. But virtually every employee I've talked to says they actually use more fuel because what's saved in auto fuel is offset by heating or A/C running all day, so car bill down, house bill up. It's more true for single folks than familes.

yeah, the reason Dell allowed people to downgrade is because people all believe the fuddy Vista-bashing articles, so when they phone up Dell for a new machine they say "Vista? I don't want that, it's rubbish. Give me XP". So Dell sells them XP. The customer is always right. Even when they're wrong.

I agree with thenewbie, microsoft pwns apple because of this, they did it first, so apple doing it later is trumped slightly by this. NOT to say apple doesn't have a strong hold over part of the market, but it's what M$ coulnd't hold doing what they do.
