Why are you so dismissive of the kinks that religion (or even abstract notions of God aside from religion) require (e.g., the whole "what created God" conundrum)?...and why are you so stubborn about victimizing the "kinks" in science as you put it, when science's track record stands as an excellent testament to its ability to work out its own kinks over time? Of the two, supernatural magic on one hand and scientific rationality on the other, one has going for it a substantial history of solving problems, learning physical truths, and generally illuminating the workings of the physical universe. The other has made absolutely zero headway on these issues...so I ask again, why are you so disdainful of science's kinks. It has proven itself capable in the past, why don't you have any confidence about its future?...or to put it differently, what has religion ever done to prove itself worthy of your relenting vice-grip? How has it proven itself to be capable of explaining anything about the physical world?
