I'm sorry, but you're confusing micro-evolution with macro. Your example is seen in everyday life, that is, mutations occuring within a species. Say fruit flies mutating slightly different from other fruit flies. But we don't see or couldn't make a fruit fly mutate to a mammal or reptile.
