Mustang Arrivals
The Bureau of Land Management contracts with several Flint Hills ranches to provide “off-range pasture” to mustangs that have been removed from overpopulated ranges in western states. This Flint Hills ranch received shipments of mares and geldings about a week prior to these photos. The horses were temporarily placed in large holding corrals for several days of observation. When no signs of disease were observed, the ranch trailered the mustangs to the several pastures that hold the existing BLM herds.
