Most of the Arkansas River is flowing below ground, through the sand. Above ground, the channel is about a foot deep and fifty feet wide. I liked the textures of the Cottonwood trees, with buds waiting for March, the red twigged willows, and the yellow and reds of the rushes and prairie grasses. It is impressive as a large print.
